Israel-Palestine protests in Melbourne

By AAP Newswire

Opposing groups will converge on the State Library in Melbourne over the ongoing tensions at the Israel/Gaza border.

The Australian Friends of Palestine has called for its supporters to come to the library at 2pm Saturday in action against Israeli army killings of protesters at the contentious border.

Pro-Israel groups have organised to be at the Melbourne CBD landmark in counter-protest, including setting up a makeshift "Israel Embassy".
